Following are all the known ways to train your Neopets, i.e, raise its stats.
Mystery Island Training School and the Swashbuckling Academy
Enrol your pet at either the Swashbuckling
Academy or the Mystery
Island Training School for intensive courses on Level, Defense,
Strength, Agility (movement) and Endurance (Hit Points). Currently, for
pets up to level 40, the Mystery Island Training School is better value
for money than the Swashbuckling Academy, and the courses are shorter. You
will need some Codestones to enrol there.
Faerie Quests
As a random event you may be asked to find an item for one of the Faeries. You will need to buy the
item (without using the shop wizard) and give
it to her in Faerieland. In return she will grant one of your pets an increase in their stats. See the section below for what each of the
Faeries will ask for, and how that will repay your hard work.
The Fire Faerie will ask for clothing items and give you strength in return. The Light
Faerie will ask for trading cards and will raise your level in return. The Earth
Faerie will ask for Magic Items and will Feed Your Pet in return. The Air
Faerie will ask for Grooming Items and will make your pet Faster in return. The Dark
Faerie will ask for Toys and will give your pet more Hit Points in return. The Water
Faerie will ask for a Book and will raise your pet's Defence in return.
Most people find that Earth Faerie quests aren't worth it, as she often asks for expensive magic items, and all she does is feed your pet which you could do for less than
100np.
Kitchen Quests
You can also increase your pets stats by completing Kitchen
Quests on Mystery Island. Most quests are cheaper than the cost of
official training, although some might be too expensive in which case you
will have to wait 2-3 hours to try another quest, or you may get something
else in return rather then a stat increase.
Coltzan's Shrine
You can visit Coltzan's
Shrine every 12 hours, but you must use a different pet the second
time for that day. The shrine gives out Defence, Intelligence, Strength,
Movement, Hit Points and Level increases. Your pet may even be lucky
enough to find a bottled faerie, a dubloon, a weapon, desert food or some
Neopoints.
Lab Ray
This is a somewhat unpredictable way of
training your pets, but most people find the overall outcome is quite
good, and it's a fun way to train your pet. Using the Lab Ray your pet can
gain, and lose, Defence, Strength, Movement, Hit Points, and Levels.
Please see this page for a more in-depth look into the Lab
Ray.
